Over the past 12 years, Carl has been actively involved in improving race relations in Mississippi and has worked in collaboration with organizations like Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Mission Mississippi as a Desoto County Event Coordinator organizing events to improve race relations.  In addition, he also started a Church Movement Group which involved visiting local pastors and churches located in North Mississippi in an effort to help foster and increase diversity in their worship services and or church programs. After personally experiencing numerous race-related incidents, Carl felt led by the spirit to write a book in an effort to improve race relations, as well as provide information to assist victims in the healing and recovery process.
